For coaches, MapsTell works as a conversation instrument: the PersonalMap literally maps your coachee's behavioural preference and gives words for it. You use those words to probe. Because the conversation is about places and words on a map, it gets going faster and stays away from a judgement about the person.
Your coachee points out a place themselves andexplains why it does or doesn't fit them. That way the words come from the coachee rather than from your interpretation. You have less to fill in and moretime for what it is really about: the right question at the right moment.
The Floormap makes that more concrete still. One-to-one the Floormap is enormously powerful too: your coachee steps onto themap themselves, feels the difference between areas and experiences what a step towards another area does. What you are discussing becomes literally tangible.

Coaching often gets stuck on finding the right words. The map hands them over, so the conversation can be about what to do with them instead.
Some coachees talk easily, others need something to hold on to. The map works for both, and it keeps the meaning with the coachee.

Certification, licences and support are arranged per organisation. This is roughly how it works, and how we think along with you.

Below you will find the questions we hear most often, with clear answers.
The Floormap is extremely powerful one to one as well. Your coachee steps onto the map, feels the difference between areas and experiences what a step means. That goes further than what you achieve with the map on paper or on screen. Working with the PersonalMap without the Floormap is possible, but in individual conversations the Floormap really does add something.

Yes. The map does not replace your approach, it adds language and imagery to it. Many coaches use it at the start of a programme and pick it up again later.
That is not a problem. Of the 100+ words in the PersonalMap there will always be a few you recognise less. Those often make for the best conversations: what do you not recognise, and how does it work for you instead? Which places on the map would you like to visit more often?
We look together at your practice, your audience and your way of working. If it doesn't fit, we'll say so.
