Every young person on the map
A World to Discover gives young people aged twelve and over an early insight into themselves and one another: at home, at school and at their sports club. There is no questionnaire and no profile. Young people step onto the floormap together and discover through conversation and movement how behaviour works.
The idea originated in education, where we discovered a need for a playful and accessible way to talk with young people about behaviour. Our dream is to put every young person on the map. We do this through #GenerationEmpathy, together with certified Guides.
Three things young people take away
At an age when everyone is working out who they are and where they belong, a map that shows you can move is worth more than one that tells you who you are.
Differences are allowed to exist
The fact that someone responds differently from you does not mean they are doing it wrong. At an age when fitting in matters so much, that is an important message.
You can make a difference
You can take a step towards someone else’s world. On the floormap, you do this literally and immediately notice what changes.
Words for what is happening
Why do I keep clashing with that classmate or teammate? The map gives young people words to describe what is happening without it turning into an argument.

A World to Discover can be used wherever young people learn, develop and work together. The shared language for behaviour is just as valuable beyond the classroom.
How to become a YoungTalent Guide
Becoming a YoungTalent Guide starts with certification in The World of Difference, followed by online training focused specifically on working with young people.
Start with The World of Difference
First, complete the Guide certification in The World of Difference. This online programme includes live sessions and gives you a solid foundation in the map, the language and facilitating conversations.
Complete the online follow-up training
You then learn to work with A World to Discover: a separate tool for a younger audience, with its own imagery, language and facilitation approach.
Help build #GenerationEmpathy
As a YoungTalent Guide, you get conversations started and make behaviour easier to talk about, just as you already do with The World of Difference.

For everyone, it is the conversation that matters. For young people, self insight can still be difficult, and linking that to a questionnaire does not fit what we want. We rely on the power of the Floormap: standing on the map together, discovering together and noticing that everything is allowed to be there.
